Confronting Challenges and Cultivating Resilience

Join us for a farmer panel discussion! We will hear from three women farmers about the challenges they have faced in building their farm businesses. From childcare and balancing off-farm jobs, to navigating grants, loans, and landowner relationships, these farmers have navigated some tricky territory to get where they are today. Farmers Erin Bullock from Wild Hill, Amanda Grisa from Schenk Homestead Farm, and Kyli Stevens from Fire Creek will lead the panel. After our discussion, we will tour Wild Hill Farm, an organic vegetable farm that feeds 350 families. At the end of the evening, we will share a delicious dinner prepared by The Local Farm Table. While we can't provide childcare services at this time, we welcome children to attend.

This Learning Circle is hosted by American Farmland Trust as part of our women-owned Demonstration Farm Network program, which highlights leaders in conservation in the Great Lakes watershed.
