TOPIC: Dry Farming Techniques for Small Farm Resilience

DESCRIPTION:
California farmers are facing water management challenges like never before, & dry farming holds promise for some. At this womxn*-centered gathering, farmers & conservation practitioners will share about the potential these techniques hold for environmental & economic benefits to diversified farms, as well as some of the considerations farmers need to make to successfully integrate dry farming.
COVID-19 safety guidelines from the CDC and local jurisdictions will be followed. Masks are encouraged when social distancing is not possible, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test are required for participants to provide upon entry.
*Womxn is a gender-inclusive term that includes women, transfeminine, and non-binary people, and anyone marginalized by misogyny or impacted by women-related issues.
