Please join Working Lands Alliance for our 2022 annual meeting and luncheon to celebrate farmland preservation in Connecticut! The meeting will be on Wednesday, Nov. 16th from 12 to 2 pm at Thomas Hooker Live located at 1 Sequassen St. Hartford, CT, 06106.
This year we will host a panel discussion that will be facilitated by Dean Indrajeet Chaubey of the University of Connecticut’s College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources. As we enter this new phase of “normal”, our panel discussion will explore how we can continue to advance resilient agricultural strategies. We will hear from individuals who are creating innovative strategies and opportunities for farmers and service providers alike to create a resilient agricultural sector during these uncertain times.
The Annual Meeting will also include the presentation of the 2022 Farmland Preservation Pathfinder Awards. Established in 2003, these prestigious awards recognize individuals and groups in Connecticut that have significantly advanced farmland preservation through leadership, communications, advocacy, planning, and education. Award winners over the last fifteen years have included municipalities, land trusts, journalists, farmers, town boards, and many individuals and groups who have shown an impressive commitment to protecting our vital farmland in Connecticut.
We hope you will join us for a thoughtful program and locally sourced lunch that will be served by the University of Connecticut’s talented dining services. To the many organizations that sponsor this event, thank you!
